Women’s World Cup
Argentina vs Japan
Date: Monday, June 10Time: 12:00 p.m. ETTV Channel: FOX Sports 1Live Stream: fuboTV (watch for free)
The second match of Group D marks the debut of Japan, who won the World Cup in 2011 and reached the final in 2015. A few key players from those two teams are still part of the roster, but a youth movement in this Japanese team makes them a little unpredictable in the tournament. Yui Hasegawa is the most talented player on this team and could have a breakout run in the competition. Japan are massive favorites against Argentina, who haven’t had a ton of preparation time and will rely solely on Milagros Menendez to have any hope in the group stage.
Women’s World Cup
Canada vs Cameroon
Date: Monday, June 10Time: 3:00 p.m. ETTV Channel: FOX Sports 1Live Stream: fuboTV (watch for free)
The fifth-ranked Canadian team could be good enough to win it all, but their journey through the group stage won’t be easy against two other top-20 teams and a very dangerous Cameroon side. Christine Sinclair is still Canada’s biggest hope, but the team around her is really solid this time and may not need a historic performance from their legendary striker. Cameroon made their World Cup debut in Canada in 2015 and showed a lot of promise. They’ve gotten even better in the last four years, and come into a tough Group E capable of causing problems for everyone.
